Day1 - Machine Learning With Microsoft Azure

Introduction

Earlier last month, i applied for a scholarship on Udacity in partnership with Microsoft for the new Machine learning nanodegree being developed in collaboration with Microsoft, luckily for me i was amongst the 10,000 scholars selected to take the foundational course for the nanodegree program. An exclusive student community was being created for participants of the scholarship including experts from the Udacity team to be able to answer questions and provide technical advice to students, moreover students can use the Slack workspace to collaborate with and get support from other classmates or ask questions to the team of Community Managers available.

#50DaysOfUdacity Challenge

This challenge is similar to the #100DaysOfCode we commit and participate on twitter and other platforms for public learning, but it's more personalized to this scholarship program. Three initiatives #50daysofUdacity Challenge, Student Leaders and Study Groups have been launched during the course of the program, the challenge is to build a habit of consistent practice of new skills by making a public commitment of practicing the topics of the Foundation Course every day for 50 days! as much as the challenge is one of the criteria to get selected for the phase two, it is also created to facilitate students to learn together with the community. Here is my public commitment to 50 days of learning, i would be sharing the knowledge acquired daily by writing technical articles around machine learning while building my technical writing skills and also sharing resources to help interested folks get started with machine learning.
